Edith Lou Milton, 81, of Wallingford, KY, passed away Saturday September 21, 2013 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.

Edith was born September 15, 1932 in Fleming County to the late James & Maude Meadows. She worked as a secretary and in soil sampling for the Fleming County Extension Office, but her most fulfilling job was being a mother and wife.

Edith had been a foster grandparent at Ward Elementary School for the last 12 years where she was affectionately known as "Grammy".

She was preceded in death by a daughter Leatha Milton, brother Marion Meadows and an infant brother.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years Willie Milton; daughter Tina (Kevin) Turner; grandchildren Gary (Brittany Jester) Adkins; great grandchildren Ryan & Aidyn; sister-in-law Nancy Meadows; and nephews Mike Meadows and Mitchell Meadows.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday September 26, 2013 at Muses Mills Christian Church with Bro Bob Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Muses Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday fro 5- 8 PM at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home and 10 - 11 AM Thursday at the church.

Gary Adkins, Lee Dyer, Mike Meadows,, Lee Adkins III, Gerald Plank & Gary Dyer will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ward Elementary, Wallingford United Methodist Church or Pioneer Trace Nursing Home.
