Elma Jean Bellamy Ratliff, 48, passed away suddenly Monday evening January 6, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Elma was born July 13, 1965 in Maysville to Robert Lee & Velma Claypoole Bellamy.

Elma had attended Morehead State University pursuing a degree in nursing, but due to her courageous battles with cancer she was unable to finish. She had worked as a nanny in Virginia for several years and was a baby sitter and care giver in the local area.

Survivors include her mother Velma (Tom Holland) Bellamy; son Ryan Ratliff siblings Candy Bellamy (Serafin) Arvizo, Debbie Bellamy (Robbie) Turner, Terry & Paul Bellamy; fiancAC. Harry Vaughn and sons Cody and Ben Vaughn; special friends Connie Earlywine and Luanne Story; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Friday January 10, 2014 at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Redmon officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 - 1 PM Friday at the funeral home.
