Elwood McKee, 88 of Flemingsburg passed away Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Fleming County Hospital.

Elwood was born July, 3 1925 in Fleming County the son of the late John Nelson and Minnie McKee.

Elwood was retired from the US Shoe Corp after 27 years of service. Elwood was fixture at Lakewood Service Station and Steve's Welding and Towing for years. Elwood was a kind and gentle man but loved to have fun with anyone he came in contact with. He was a lifelong member of Goddard United Methodist Church and attended Wallingford Methodist Church.

Elwood was preceded in death by his wife Ruby, parents, sister Myrtle Lee and brothers Charlie, Harold, and Orville McKee.

He is survived by his one Son; Steve (Debbie) McKee, one Daughter; Donna (Jimmy) Hitch, one Grandson; Brian (Vinessa) Hitch, one Great Grandson; Xachary Hitch, Two Step-Grandchildren Matt Story and Shawna (Joe) Gibson, 4 Step-Great Grandchildren; Carter Story, Haley Gibson, Aubrey Gibson and Chloe White; brother Roy McKee and Sister Dorothy Reeves; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 AM, on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Wallingford United Methodist Church with Bro. Bob Ray officiating, Interment will follow in the Wallingford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM on Friday at the Church and after 9 AM Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wallingford United Methodist Church.
