Obituary
Elwood Thomas Mers, 75, of Flemingsburg, passed away at his home on Monday, November 7, 2016.
Born on August 10, 1941, in Fleming County, he was a son of the late Homer Leslie, Sr. and Geneva Mae Gardner Mers.
He is survived by his children, Tommy Mers, Steve Mers, Elwood Mers, Jr., Willa Mers Burton, Robbie Mers, and Bradley Mers; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Denny Mers; sisters, Sue Newdigate and Bonnie Mers.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie Mers, Marvin Mers, and Homer "Bugs" Mers, Jr.
A graveside service will begin at noon on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Wedonia Cemetery with Bro. Jesse Hickerson officiating.
