Emma Ruth Crump Branam, 87, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, at Mercy Health- Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati. She was the widow of Donald Ray "Donnie" Branam.
Born in Seaman, Ohio on August 22, 1937, Emma was the daughter of the late Smith Crump and the late Eulala Denton Crump.
Emma worked for Wald's Manufacturing in Maysville and retired from U. S. Shoe Corporation in Cincinnati after 28 years of service. She was a family oriented woman who enjoyed reading and working puzzles, from jigsaw, word, to crosswords.
Emma is survived by her three children, Barry Ray Branam and wife Janet of Charlotte, N. C., Benita Gray of Cincinnati, and Gretchen Branam of Cincinnati; her three grandchildren, Shauna, Christine, and Christy; and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, Luke, Carson, Liam, Jameson, Ember and two additional great grandsons. She is also survived by four of her siblings, Charlie (Janice) Crump, Wanda Fischer, Terry "Topper" (Priscilla) Crump, and Edie (Danny) Lewis; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to Donnie, her husband of 58 years who passed in July 2015; her mother Eulala; and her father Smith; Emma was preceded in death by her son, Gary Branam who passed in 2021; three of her siblings, Dale Crump, Elbert "Ebbie" Crump, and Sharon Copher; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Fischer and Deweese "Dew" Copher.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Shawn Meade officiating.
Emma will be laid to rest in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Chad Copher, Carson Stidham, Jordan Stidham, Ronnie Stidham, Chase Grannis, Conner Grannis, and Nathan Lewis. Honorary pallbearers include great grandsons, Jacob, Luke, Liam, and Jameson.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Saturday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
