Emma Louise Yazell Richmond, 86, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Bennie Brooks Richmond.

Born in Fleming County on January 21, 1940, Emma was the daughter of the late Curt Yazell and the late Bessie Yazell.

Emma is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Ron) Doyle; her seven grandchildren, Jesse Richmond, Alexis Richmond, Harrison Doyle, Bennie Doyle, Joey Planck, Michael Planck, and Holly Bevins Crouch; along with several great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Bennie and her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her son, Martin Richmond, her daughter, Kathy Richmond Curtis, her granddaughter, Eva Richmond, and her brother, Louis Yazell.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2026, at Goddard Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Joey Planck, Bennie Doyle, Harrison Doyle, Michael Planck, Jesse Richmond, and Chad Planck.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12 noon on Friday, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
