Eric Shawn Gallagher, 27, of Hillsboro passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning January 11, 2015 from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Eric was born September 6, 1986 in Rowan County to Clarence and Darlene Harmon Gallagher.

Eric was a true outdoorsman and farmer. He loved to fish, watch NASCAR, and UK sports and Broncos football. He enjoyed watching tractor pulls and mud slings and attending the farm machinery show.

Survivors include his parents; brother Brian Gallagher; niece Brianna Gallagher; nephew Colby Gallagher; grandfather Hershel Harmon; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Cecil & Delores Gallagher; maternal grandmother Arizona Harmon.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Friday January 16, 2015 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
