George Estill Kerns, 62, of Flemingsburg, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at St Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

Estill was born in Fleming County, on October 23, 1963, the son of the late Donald Gene Kerns and the late Jo Ann Spurlock Kerns.

Estill was a well known in the area for his tobacco cutting skills, had worked in Georgia at a carpet mill and most recently was employed by Don Ishmael Fencing.

Estill is survived by his two sisters, Sherry Kerns of Flemingsburg and Barbara Jurado of California;  his brother, Andrew Kerns of Georgia: several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many extended family and friends.

Estill was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Jo Ann along with two of his siblings, Lisa Huerta and Stephanie Hickson.
