Faye Alexander, 94, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday morning February 25, 2014 at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home.

Faye was born October 29, 1919 in Rowan County to the late Van and Lula Parker Hogge.

Faye was a retired cook at the Whip and Sip and later Sorrels Restaurant. She was a longtime member of the Hilltop Christian Church

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl "Colie" Alexander, son Roy Wayne Alexander, parents and siblings Arthur Hogge, Jack Parker, Louise Hogge, Robert Hogge, Charles Hogge, Lyda Hogge Cox, Wilma Hogge Salle and Patsy Hogge Black.

Survivors include her children Jackie Earl (Betty) Alexander of Atlanta, GA, Donald Gene (Darlene) Alexander of Ewing, KY and Van (Debbie) Alexander of Flemingsburg; grandchildren Donna Robinson, Ashley Alexander, Doug Brown, Nancy Brown, Sheri Alexander, Larry Alexander, Katie Alexander, Wendy Fryman, Sherry Walker, Jackie Alexander and Brian Alexander; several Great Grandchildren; daughter-in-law- Patsy Alexander of North Middleton, KY; brother Cliff Hogg of Columbia SC.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Saturday March 1, 2014 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Ingram officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 10 - 2 PM at the funeral home.
