Gary W. Zimmerman, 60, of Crestview Mobile Home Park, Flemingsburg, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on April 11, 2013 at UK Hospital in Lexington, KY after a short illness.

He was born January 14, 1953, in Fleming County, to the late Jack and Diann Zimmerman.

Gary was retired from Black River and also was a KY Colonel under Governor Paul Patton. He attended the Flemingsburg Church Of The Nazarene with his wife Vickie.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Vickie Selby Zimmerman; one son, Wayne (Crystal) Zimmerman; 2 grandsons, Garrett and Jackson all of Flemingsburg; one uncle, Billy Jamision of Grange City; brother Jackie Zimmerman; sister, Vickie Gray, both of Flemingsburg; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father and mother in law, Junior and Bonnie Selby and sister in law, Kathy Selby.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday, April 15th, at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Grimes and Minister Dean Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday April 15th from 11 AM until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Zimmerman, Garrett & Jackson Zimmerman, Tony Selby, Lance Selby, Tim Cook, Justin Nueby, Steve Fearin & Ronnie Livingood. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Zimmerman, Bonnie Fleming & Billy Jamison
