George Edward Shelley, 91, of Flemingsburg, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.

Born in Indianapolis, IN, on March 17, 1935, to the late George Leroy Shelley and the late Mildred “Dolly” Potter Shelley.

George had served as the janitorial and grounds supervisor for Center Grove School on the south side on Indianapolis for many years before moving to Maysville with his wife Edna.

George is survived by his sister Barbara Schill or Indianapolis, IN, several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his with Edna Shelley in 2018; parents George and Dolly Shelley; and a brother Leroy Shelley.

All services will be private at the convivence of the family. George and Edna will be privately laid to rest together.
