Glendora Meadows Hendrix Saunders, 77, of May's Lick, passed away Sunday evening October 30, 2016 at her home with her family by her side.
Glendora was born May 25, 1939 in Fleming County to the late Harlan Davis and Laura Bruce Johnson Meadows.
Glendora was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who loved having her family close to her. Glendora had worked at the Dairy Queen in Flemingsburg and Fleming County Meats. Glendora was a member of the May's Lick Lighthouse Church.
Glendora was preceded in death by her husbands, William M. Hendrix and Eldon Reeves Saunders; children Donna Michelle Hendrix and Danny Hendrix; son-in-law Avery Workman; grandson-in-law Chris Jolly; parents ; siblings Sue McGlone, Bud Meadows, Alva Meadows; brother-in-law Reno McGlone; sister-in-law Esther Meadows; paternal grandparents Floyd & Eliza Keal Meadows; maternal grandparents Harvey & Dilly Leforge Johnson.
Survivors include her children Susanna McGowan of Mt. Sterling, Barbara Workman of Mt. Olivet, William M. (Dana Clark) Hendrix of Flemingsburg, John Hendrix of Cynthiana, Laura (Tony Logan) Hendrix of Maysville; step children Lonnie (Kitty) Saunders of West Milton, OH, Phyllis (Bill) Boling of Bradford, TN, Debbie (John) Highfield of Tollesboro; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; sister Phyllis Kay Reed of Flemingsburg; brother David Meadows of Port Charlotte, FL.; 5 nieces and 3 nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday November 3, 2016 at May's Lick Lighthouse Church with Bro. Danny Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.
