Kenneth Gordon Peratt, 59, of Flemingsburg, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019, at Saint Joseph East in Lexington.
Born on December 2, 1959, in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, he was the son of the late James Monroe "Buddy" Peratt and the late Mary Mildred McCarty Peratt.
Gordon worked for Peoples Bank for 27 years as a Data Processing supervisor. He was a founding member and treasurer of the Cancer Care Club, helping to organize their weekly bingo. In his spare time he enjoyed watching Nascar and his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon, before he retired. He also enjoyed music, singing, handbells, as well as playing bingo. He was a member of the Flemingsburg Christian Church. Gordon will be remembered for his attention to detail and his willingness to help other people.
Gordon is survived by his brother, Danny Peratt; his sister, Phyllis Ritchie and husband, Tim; his niece, Megan Ritchie; his canine friend, Bobo; his aunt, Dolly Lyons of Moorefield; his aunt, Jewell McCarty of Carlisle; along with his many friends and extended family.
In addition to his parents Buddy and Mary, Gordon was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 10, at Flemingsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Tracy Parker and Rev. Jim Wilson officiating.
Gordon will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Randy Sargent, Raymond Pollitt, Paul Pollitt, Ronnie Richmond, Deon Taylor, and Terrance Jackson.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9, at the Flemingsburg Baptist Church located at 1856 Elizaville Road, Flemingsburg, KY 41041.
