Harold Wayne Montgomery, 77, of Flemingsburg, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Montgomery was a caring father, grandfather, and a retired logger. He was a member of Hickory Grove Christian Church.

He was born in Lewis County on December 27, 1939, to the late Owen and Virginia Brewer Montgomery.

Surviving are his children, Harold and wife Rebekah Montgomery of Muses Mills; Tony and wife Barbara Montgomery of Wallingford; his siblings, Ruth M. (Frankie) Martin of Alexandria and Russell (Phyllis) Montgomery of Flemingsburg. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Keturah Montgomery, Scott (Betty) Hilterbrand, Mischelle (Darrell) Planck, Jamey Hilterbrand, Jeremy (Angela) Hilterbrand, Rusty (Arvetta) Hollar and Tosha (Randy) Ishmael; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Sierra, Braxton, Mackayla and Rusty, Jr.; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mabel Hamilton.

Mr. Montgomery was preceded in death by his wife, Marva Bigelow Montgomery; his daughter, Sandra Faith Hilterbrand; his sister, Louise Reeder; and his parents.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 3rd, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Big Run Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Jamey Hilterbrand, Jeremy Hilterbrand, Scott Hilterbrand, Rusty Hollar, Tyler Carpenter, Josh Montgomery and C. J. Vise.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. - 2 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
