Hattie Mae Connors 87, of Flemingsburg, Ky., passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Hattie was born in Flemingsburg on February 11, 1937, to the late Viola Dudley Monroe and the late James "Hoss" Boyd.
Hattie was a devoted, loving mother and homemaker who freely spoke her mind. She previously worked at the US Flemingsburg shoe factory, and she was a nurse's aide at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home.
Hattie is survived by one of her brothers, Rupert Jones of Washington D.C.; her six children, Brenda (Henry) Clark of Flemingsburg, Robert (Kim) Connors, Jr., of Flemingsburg, Stephaine Wooldridge of Somerset, Ky., Linda Tutt of St. Louis, Mo., Anthony (Sandy) Connors of Flemingsburg, Druecilla Connors of Flemingsburg; special family friend, Juanita Hutsell; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, a host of extended family members, and friends.
Hattie was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Robert Connors; her granddaughter, Rachelle Connors; her son-in-law, Glenn Wooldridge; her three sisters, Nora McKee, Dorothy Brandy, and Emma Boyd; her three brothers, William Brandy, Ronald Brandy, and James Walter "Hoss" Boyd.
Hattie was affectionately called "Mamaw" and "Granma" by her six grandchildren, Glenn "GJ" Wooldridge, Jr., Tremaine "TT" Wooldridge, Amani Thomas, Micaela Tutt, Raven Clark, and Jalen Wooldridge; and her five great, great grandchildren, Xavier Wooldridge, Zayne Wooldridge, Deacon Wooldridge, A'ionna Thomas, and Lennux G. Wooldridge.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the New Creation Praise and Worship Center with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating.
Hattie will be laid to rest in rest in Fleming County Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Glenn Wooldridge, Jr., Tremaine Wooldridge, Amani Thomas, Jalen Wooldridge, Xavier Wooldridge, and Zayne Wooldridge. Honorary pallbearers include Micaela Tutt, Raven Clark, and Juanita Hutsell.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Tuesday, at New Creation, located at 1431 Helena Road, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
