Hazel R. Benton, 90, of Wallingford passed away Tuesday December 25, 2012 at the home of her daughter. She was born August 23, 1922 in Foster, OH to the late Enoch Richard & Gertrude Irene Henry. Mrs. Benton was a granny to everyone she came in contact with and loved them all very much. She was a avid bell collector, and loved to quilt, visit junk stores. She loved to go to Gatlinburg, TN and attend the Dixie Stamped. Hazel loved animals and was a true dog lover. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hubert Ronald Benton, 1 son William Luther Whitt, 2 Step-Sons James Edward & Marion Frances Benton, sister Edith Mae Allen, 1 great grandchild and 3 step great grandchildren, and a son-in-law Roy Abney.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday December 28, 2012 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. James Hickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Deerfield Cemetery in South Lebanon, OH. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Daniel Benton, Ronald Robinson, Charles Robinson, Christopher Robinson, Wendell Abney and Andy Charles.
