Obituary

Hazel Wells Stacy Spencer, 95, of Flemingsburg, Ky., passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at Life Care Center of Morehead.

Hazel was born June 24, 1919 in Rowan County to the late Hisa and Myrtle Stacy.

Hazel retired from Fleming County Hospital after 20 years as a nurse's aid. She was a long time member of the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church, the Bernie Archdeacon Support Group and Fleming County Homemakers.

Hazel was proceeded in death by her husband Elbert Lee "Jeff" Spencer, 4 siblings Herman, Lester, Geraldine and Maxine Stacy.

Hazel is survived by two sons Donald L. (Darlene) Spencer of Fredericksburg, TX and L. Thomas (Chris) Spencer of Payson AZ; daughter Loretta Spencer of Flemingsburg; sisters, Norma Milam of Slovan, PA and Anna Logan of Manchester MI; brother Artis Stacy of Ft. Wayne, IN; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday July 22, 2014 at the Elizaville Cemetery with Bro. Terry Whisman officiating. Visitation will be 11 - 12:30 PM Tuesday at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Bernie Archdeacon Cancer Support Group, Alzheimer's Association or charity of ones choice in honor of Mrs. Spencer.
