Obituary

Helen Mae Hunt, 65, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home. She was the widow of Murrill D. Hunt.


Born on November 16, 1951, in Fleming County, she was a daughter of the late Virgil and Nora Ethel Ruggles Brown.


She was a retired social worker for Comprehend in Maysville. She graduated Morehead State University with a Bachelor's Degree. She was a dedicated Christian woman who loved her grandkids and family. She was a member of the Wallingford Methodist Church.


Helen is survived by her son, Anthony Hunt and wife Carrie; her grandchildren, Joseph Hunt, Erika Hunt, Jaquelyn Paige (Bobby) Hawkins, Ashley Stanfield, and Alisha Stanfield; her great grandchild, Emma Gray; and her sisters, Beulah King and Mary Ann Hopper.


In addition to her husband Murrill and her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Ursula Stanfield; two great grandchildren; her sister, Paulette Handy; and her brother, Carl Brown.


Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery.


Pallbearers include Brian Story, Shane Hunt, Rodney Fryman, Randy Fryman, Nolan Pollock, Greg Pollock and Matt Plymesser. Honorary pallbearers include Gayle Pollock, Richie Gray, Steve Hunt and Gayle Hunt.


Visitation will be 6 – 9 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Hope (909 Kenton Drive, Maysville, Kentucky 41056) and/or Pioneer Trace Nursing Home (115 Pioneer Trace, Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041).
