Hersel B. Harmon, 93, of the Concord community in Fleming County, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Ridgeway Nursing and Rehabilitation in Owingsville.

Mr. Harmon was born November 4, 1921 in Fleming County to the late Early and Nannie Harmon.

Mr. Harmon was a lifelong farmer. He liked to work and go to auctions and flea markets. As a young man he was baptized at the Tilton Christian Church.

Survivors include his children, Carolyn (Everett ) House, Barbara (Bobby) Harmon, Darlene (Clarence) Gallagher, Albert (Lisa) Harmon, Roger Harmon, Jeffery (Crystal ) Harmon, and Michael Harmon; sister, Ruby Harmon; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Arizona Buckler Harmon; children, Judy Donovan and Ray Harmon; grandson, Eric Gallagher; and several deceased brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday, May 4, 2015 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery in Bethel . Visitation will be 6 - 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
