Ilene Hamm Akers, 82, of Wallingford passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at the home of her daughter. She was born June 5, 1930 in Mazie, KY to the late Vinson and Easter Lester. Mrs. Akers had been a wonderful Christian lady since she was 16, and she loved to sew, quilt, and crochet. She was a founding member of the Fox Valley Community Church and worked at Randalls for 31 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle Hamm and husband Clayton Akers, 1 son Proctor Hamm, and 2 brothers Idas Lester and Harmon Lester.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Fox Valley Community Church with Bro. Darrell Marshall and Rev. Lenny Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Newman Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Sunday at the Boone Nickell Funeral Home and 8 - 10 AM at the church on Monday. Pallbearers will be Sol Rice, Brian Hall, Doug Compton, Paul Taylor, Darrell Compton, and Bill Ingram.
