Jackson Thomas Fern, 18, of Flemingsburg, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at the Fleming County Hospital.

Born in Lexington on August 23, 2005, he was the son of John Thomas "Trae" Fern III and Stephanie Samons Fern.

In addition to his mom and dad, Jackson is survived by his sister, Morgan Fern Jackson and husband Jared; his paternal grandparents, John Thomas Fern, Jr. and Clyda Henderson; his maternal grandparents, Ronald Samons and Kathy Samons;  his two uncles, Tim (Tanya) Brown and Ronnie David (Mandy) Samons; along with several extended family and friends.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2023, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Ishmael officiating.

Jackson will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Tim Brown, Ronnie Samons, Jared Jackson, Ronnie Samons, Jr., James Samons, and Bobby Knipp.  Honorary pallbearers include Jacob Fritz, his home health, his school, and his therapy family.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
