Obituary

James "Jimmy" Thomas Arrasmith, 60, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday March 15, 2015 at Kenton Pointe Care Center.

Jimmy was born August 30, 1954 in Maysville to the Fannie Nash Arrasmith of Poplar Grove and the late Osborne E. Arrasmith.

Jimmy was a retired shipping and receiving supervisor of 29 years for Wald Manufacturing. He proudly served his country as a photographer for the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Jimmy received an Associate's Degree in auto mechanics and carpentry. To his family and close friends he was known as a jack of all trades.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Debbie Staggs; children, Jamey Nicole Arrasmith (Adam) Barrett, Holly Renee Arrasmith; grandchildren, Zachary Myers, Jaden Arrasmith, Miranda Arrasmith, Hallie Jo Barrett, Janna Barrett, Adam Barrett Jr., Matthew Hesler, Mahayla Hesler, and Addison Arrasmith; siblings, David (Brenda) Arrasmith, Barry (Theresa) Arrasmith, Steve Arrasmith and Greg (Teresa) Arrasmith; and several nieces and nephews. Jimmy also loved Charity Shoemaker Utz and Kelsey Dawn Riggs like his own daughters.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday March 19th at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Eubanks officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Greg Schmidt, Scotty Love, Rudy Stam, Adam Barrett, Emerson Wallingford, Timmy Staggs, Doug Kiskaden and North Fork Rook Association are Honorary Pallbearers.
