James Louis "Louie" Coffey, age 84, passed away Sunday morning at Fleming County Hospital. He was born September 12, 1926 in Elizaville, KY to the late William and Louise Coffey. Mr. Coffey was retired from GTE after 28 years of service. He served as the area construction supervisor at the time of his retirement . He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WW II. He was preceded in death by 1 son Jimmy Coffey, 3 sisters, Mary Margaret Fern, Polly Hartley, Anna Marie Carpenter and 1 brother Bill Coffey.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Hickerson Coffey

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday October 13, 2010 at St. Charles Catholic Church. Visitation will be at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home from 6 - 9 PM Tuesday. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. Military rites will be preformed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834.
