IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeanetta
Muse
February 16, 1946 – August 21, 2025
The worldly journey of Jeanetta Carol Brown Muse, 79, ended on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at her home in Flemingsburg. She was the widow of Woody Ray Muse.
Her journey began in Morehead on February 16, 1946, when she was born to Lester Brown and Icy B. Wallace Brown.
The matriarch of her family, Jeanetta was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, daughter, and sister. She was always there for her children and family, going above and beyond for them. She loved baking and gardening with her daughters and beating her sons at a competitive game of horseshoes and cornhole. She enjoyed playing cards when her sisters came in from Ohio for a visit. She loved cooking and feeding everyone who visited her home. For those she has left behind, no words can express the love and the loss they feel.
Jeanetta has now moved on to a new beginning in her Heavenly home. She has reunited with the family she has longed to see: Woody, her husband of 28 years who passed in 1989; her mother Icy; her father Lester; and five of her siblings, Donna Reynolds, Darlene Grew, Charlotte Gayheart, Phyllis Brown, and Lanny Brown.
Jeanetta is survived by six children, six blessings she shared with Woody, Teresa (Greg) Dunaway of Flemingsburg, Diana (Denny "Sparky") Parker of Maysville, Woody Muse, Michael (Angie) Muse, both of Flemingsburg, Rocky (Joann) Muse and Jerry Muse, both of Morehead. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Brandon (Bonnie) Dunaway, Justin (Shayna) Muse, Cheyenne (Eric) Pinales, Corey (Courtny) Muse, Calin Muse, Lexie (Logan) Barker, Tori (Justin) Fields, Chase Muse, and Ashton (Kylee) Muse; as well as her 11 great grandchildren, Jace, Jaxon, Gabe, Cattleya, Alicia, Koah, Weston, Averhiann, Hayze, Greylynn, and Grayson. In addition, Jeanetta is survived by six of her siblings, Tonya Laser, Tammy (Jake) Sexton, Brenda Backensto, Roberta Gayheart, Gary Brown and Stevie Brown; along with many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Jeanetta will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Herbie Stallard officiating.
Jeanetta will be laid to rest in Muse Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers include her seven grandsons, Brandon Dunaway, Justin Muse, Corey Muse, Calin Muse, Chase Muse, Ashton Muse, and Justin Fields.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
In place of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Jeanetta to Hospice of Hope Maysville. The wonderful care and respect they showed will never be forgotten by the family who would like to honor them.
