Jeanne Faye Staggs Conley, 77, of Ewing, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, at Robertson County Health Care. She was the widow of Gary "Biggin" Conley.
Born in Nepton on July 6, 1947, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Eugene Staggs and the late Ida Ellen Mae Parsons Staggs.
A graduate of Fleming County High School Class of 1965, a graduate of Maysville Community College Class of 1985, an attendee of Bellarmine University, Jeanne was a retired registered nurse (RN, CIC) who worked for over 30 years at Fleming County Hospital and was a former owner/operator of Conley's Service Station and Grocery for 25 years. She was a member of the Flemingsburg Methodist Church where she was baptized in 1959. She was also a member of the local VFW 1834 Auxiliary. She was an avid reader, an excellent seamstress, a dedicated nurse and mother who adored her granddaughters.
Jeanne is survived by her two children, Tammy (Ricky) Gray and Micheal Craig (Penny) Conley; her two grandchildren, Taylor Nicole (Brandon) Hawkins and MacKenzie Conley; and her three great grandchildren, Paisley Hawkins, Josie Hawkins, and Lainey Hawkins. Jeanne is also survived by two of her siblings, Carroll Jolly and Roger Staggs; her cousin, Mary Dale McIntosh Vice Hughes; and her in-laws, Linda Cooper, Kathy Weaver, Pauline Sellers, Connie Doyle, Elwood Conley, Tony (Rhonda) Conley, and Cordell (Carolyn) Conley.
In addition to Gary, her husband of 54 years who passed in 2019; her mother Ida; and her father Eugene; Jeanne was preceded in death by two of her brothers, Kenneth Staggs and Warren Staggs; her paternal grandparents, Early Staggs and Artecia Hickerson Staggs; her maternal grandparents, William Levi Parsons and Ella Dudley Tolliver Parsons; her mother-in-law, Dessie Fraley Conley; her brothers-in-law, Jimmy Sellers, M.L. Cooper, Earl Hahn, Edsell Weaver, and Kermy Conley; and her sisters-in-law, Willa Hahn, Sue Conley, and Sheila Conley.
The funeral service for Jeanne will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Harry Brooks officiating.
At the convenience of the family, Jeanne will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery beside her husband.
Visitation will be 8 a.m., until the hour of service at 11 a.m., at Boone-Nickell, located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg, Kentucky 41041
