Jerry Dale Gardner, 56, of Wallingford, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Fleming County Hospital.

He was born on February 3, 1959, in Maysville, to the late Archie Carl and Mary Fearin Gardner.

Jerry worked at Carmeuse Lime & Stone for 34 years and was a loving husband and father. He was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church and attended Unity Baptist. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Elaine Flack Gardner; son, Michael (Vanessa) Gardner of Maysville; grandchildren, Noah and Amayah Gardner; brother, Morris (Sherri) Gardner; sister, Donna Gardner, all of Fleming County; aunt, Dora (Philip) Sparks, of Flemingsburg; nieces, Kristy (Tyler) McDowell of Columbus, OH, and Alison Gardner, of Wallingford; several brother and sister-in-laws; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Vise and Bro. James Hickerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ron Pruitt, Adam Dunigan, Steve Fearin, Rod Gardner, Jason Shepherd, and Tony Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Morgan, Ricky King, Jerry Eubanks, and Junie Fearin.
