Jesse V. Gooding, 90, of Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday, March14, 2012 at Fleming County Hospital. He was born in Goddard, KY April 12, 1921 to the late Lazarus and Della Thacker Gooding. Mr. Gooding had worked at District 9 State Highway Department as a mechanic, and was a life long farmer. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a life long member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Victor Gooding, and a sister Lena Strickland
Survivors include his wife of 68 years Maxine Arnold Gooding

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Sunday March 18, 2012 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Rev Howard Livingood and Rev. Walter Bratcher. Burial will follow in Fleming County Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 9 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Military rites will be performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834. Pallbearers will be Dennis Jolley, Jonathan Gooding, Mike Bilbrey, Todd Hash, Scottie Dailey, & Zach Hilterbrand. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Of Hope.
