Jessie Dunaway Cooper, 80, of Flemingsburg, devoted wife of Ronald E. Cooper, passed away at Fleming County Hospital on Thursday, January 24, 2013. She was born on April 2, 1932 to Arvie and Edith Dunaway of Muses Mills. She married the love of her life on January 8, 1949. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was loved by everyone who knew her. She loved the Lord and served Him all her life. She has now gone to be with her husband and joined together to walk eternally with their Lord and Saviour.

One of her great joys was working in folk art, and she was a well know folk artist who received many honors for her work.

She owned and operated, along with her husband, Cooper's Grocery in Tollesboro, and retired from Kroger in Dayton, Ohio.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Cooper and parents, Arvie and Edith Dunaway.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Beverly) Cooper; Sharon (Terry) Brown; Linda (Brian) Hill, Tim (Ruthie) Cooper; one sister, Hazel (Kenny) Mitchell of Florida; one brother, Kenneth (Margie) Dunaway of Flemingsburg; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 11 AM Monday January 28, 2013 at Flemingsburg Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Newman Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Sunday at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Pallbearers will be Adam Brown, Jonathon Saunders, Jordan Saunders, Jace McClain, Terry Brown, Timothy Cooper II, and Brian Hill.
