Jewell Davis Dickson Wade, 96, of Frankfort (formerly of Flemingsburg), passed away Friday, January 19, 2024, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.  She was the widow of Delbert Wade, Sr.

Born in Mason County on June 28, 1927, her mother was the late Maggie Belle Frederick Dickson and her father was the late Charles Mason Dickson.

Jewell was a homemaker and wife of a farmer.  She worked at U. S. Shoe in Flemingsburg for 23 years.  She participated and enjoyed her local Fleming Senior Center for many years.

She is survived by her son, Wayne Wade and wife Kathy of Frankfort; her nine grandchildren, Cindy (husband Kevin) Hinson, Lori Ann (husband Will) Moree, Donald Argo, Matthew Argo, Daphne Wade, Steven (wife Rachel) Wade, Melissa (husband Darian) Turner, Christopher Wade, and Stephanie (husband Chad) Eckman;  her  nine great grandchildren; and her one great, great grandchild.  She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Dickson Jolly; and her former daughter-in-law, Brenda Myers Childers.

In addition to her husband Delbert who passed in 1999, Jewell was preceded in death by three of her children, Alfred "Buddy" Wade, Brenda Wade Argo, and Delbert "Del" Wade; and two of her sisters, Ida Wagner and Betty Myers. She was also preceded by an infant brother.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Manning officiating.

Jewell will be laid to rest in May's Lick Cemetery.

Visitation will be 12 noon, until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Thursday, at Boone-Nickell.
