John Paul Flora, 68, of Bald Hill passed away Sunday Oct. 21, 2012 at UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY after a long battle of Pulmonary Fibrosis.

He was born May 27, 1944 to the late Clyde Robert & Lyda Mae (Miller) Flora. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Linda Carpenter Flora. He had two sons Greg Scott (Beth Kegg) and John Ashley (Deanna Doyle) Flora all of Flemingsburg. He is survived by one grandson Bradley Scott Flora and three step grandchildren Kris Gambill, Kameron Gambill & Kourtney Gambill and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers Jerry, Larry & George Flora and 1 sister Shirley Flora Kennedy

John Paul was a lifetime farmer and retired from Fleming County Road Dept. on August 1, 2007. John also, served in the Army Reserves for 6 years. John was a beloved friend of many people. He will live in the hearts of many for years to come. He was special in many ways and had a kind heart to everyone, he will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday October 25, 2012 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Hickerson and Bro. Nick Reeder officiating. Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery in Bethel, KY. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.Military rites will be performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834.
