Johnny Faris, 79, of Plummers Landing, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017, at Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care.

Johnny was born February 12, 1938, in Plummers Landing, KY, to the late Dunbar and Minnie Mildred Dunaway Faris.

For 43 years, Johnny worked at Randall's Textron in maintenance and as a rolling mill operator. He loved hunting.

Johnny was preceded in death by his daughters, Donna Faris Hurst and Pamela Carol Faris; his parents; and his brother, James D. Faris.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Faris; daughter Laura (Shane) Wallingford; granddaughter, Emily Nicole McClurg; his siblings, Robert (Jennie) Faris and Caroline (Bob) Maddox; and several nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Darry Cooper and Bro. Steve Hickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Goddard Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
