Obituary
Josephine Smith Carpenter, 97, formerly of Johnson Street in Flemingsburg, passed away Wednesday June 18, 2014 at Pioneer Trace Nursing Home.
Josephine was born June 27, 1916 in Overton City, Tennessee to the late John W. and Bonzi Smith.
Josephine was retired after 35 years of teaching in the Fleming County School System.
She was preceded in death by her husband O.W. Carpenter, sisters Mary Whitson and Ina Ruth McPherson.
Survivors include her nephew Dan (Martha) Whitson of Knoxville, TN
Graveside services will be at 2 PM Saturday June 21, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Park in Flemingsburg, KY. Boone - Nickell Funeral Home is caring for all arrangements for Mrs. Carpenter.
