Josephine Hall "Jo" Darnall, 93, of Flemingsburg, KY, passed away Monday February 17, 2014 at her home after an extended illness.

Jo was born June 25, 1920 in Beaver Creek, Kentucky to the late Thomas and Mary Gibson Hall.

Jo worked for the State Department in Frankfort, Flemingsburg Lumber Company, Peoples Bank, and O.P. Kane Jewelry and at her mother's restaurant, The Village Grill. She was a longtime member of Elizaville Christian Church, and the women's group of the church was one of her favorite groups. Jo's favorite bi-weekly activity was the Flemingsburg Homemaker's where she had served in the many roles of the club.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years June Darnall; grandchildren Jarred (Sara) Darnall and William Darnall; great grandchildren Emily, Emma and Kate; daughter-in-law Lezlie Shivar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Wayne Wilson Darnall and brother Daniel Bernice Hall.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Saturday February 22, 2014 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Rich Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Daniel Suit, Bill Clark, Jarred Darnall, William Darnall, John Sloan, Matt Plymesser, Charles Litzler and Andrew Suit will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Whisman, Tony Abrams, Elaine Bloxton, Melanie Reece, Betty Jo Abrams, Elizabeth Hatton, Andy Gray, Wilda Fry and Crystal Gray.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Elizaville Christian Church.
