William Harold "Bill" "Jr" McKee, 86, of Salt Lick, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024, at Homestead Post Acute Care, in Lexington.

Born in Fleming County on June 9, 1938, he was the son of the late William Henry McKee and the late Lola Geraldine Bates McKee.

Jr was a lifelong mechanic and worked for T & W Ford. He and his wife Mildred attended Young's Valley Community Church, and he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Jr is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mildred McNabb McKee; three of his children, Janice Shepherd and husband Rex, Glenda McKee, Eugonda and husband Lee Fryman; his four stepchildren, Pat Gates and husband Jimmie, Pamela Howard, Barbara Charles and husband Timmy, and Rosemary Davis and husband Danny; his grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with several extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five of his children, Scotty Paul McKee, Harold Ray McKee, Judy Ann Little, Michael Wayne McKee and Harold Lee McKee; his four siblings, Carol Reed, Anna Mary McKee, Theodocia McKee, and Lola May Showman

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Jeff Harris officiating.

Harold will be laid to rest in Goddard Cemetery.

W.N. Fant American Legion Post #5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834 will be performing military rites.

Visitation will be 12 p.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
