IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Juanita
Hill
September 16, 1922 – April 7, 2018
Mrs. Juanita Hill, 95, of Sayre Christian Village, Lexington, entered into her heavenly Father's care on Saturday, April 7, 2018, with her family at her side.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Clarence A. Hill, Sr.; her sons, William Roger Hill and Clarence A. Hill, Jr.; her father, Harold Snell; her mother, Mary Durham Snell; and her beloved stepmother, Bonnie Snell; her sisters, Louise Ellis and Geneva Buhl; and her brother, Harold Snell, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Dr. B. R. Hill (Diane), Barbara Jo Story (Ed) and Andrea Kay Mobley (Ron); daughter-in-law Charlene Hill; her grandchildren, Marsha Story Carver (Rodney), Dr. Melanie Story (Andy Applegate), Todd Mobley (Christy), Leigh Hill, Tony Hill (Cindy), Chad Hill (Monica) and Crystal Hill; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Juanita was a consummate wife, mother and homemaker. She and her late husband Clarence called many places home during their life together, including Ohio, Kentucky, Texas and North Carolina. She was an exquisite seamstress and quilter. Over the years she hand-quilted numerous quilts she shared with her family. She also enjoyed boating, water sports, camping and traveling with her family.
Juanita had an unwavering faith in God. When she and Clarence retired in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, she faithfully taught the adult Sunday school class at Flemingsburg Baptist Church. She also volunteered at the Flemingsburg Hospital gift shop and worked in the local Christian bookstore. Juanita was most recently a member of Rosemont Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky.
At Mrs. Hill's request, graveside services will be conducted by Rev. Chris Beckham at Fleming County Cemetery in Flemingsburg, Kentucky on Thursday, April 12th, at 12:00 noon. Arrangements are being cared for by Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the loving care given our mother by the Guardian Angels at Sayre Christian Village Nursing Home, Reflections Unit.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Sayre Christian Village Nursing Home, Reflections Unit, 3775 Belleau Wood Drive, Lexington, Kentucky 40517, or the charity of one's choice.
