Obituary

Juanita Mae Sapp Talbot, 84, of Lynn, Indiana, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at her residence. She was the widow of Albert Peters Talbot.

Born in Hillsboro, Kentucky on April 4, 1942, her father was the late Willie Roscoe Gray and her mother was the late Jessie Marie Hatfield Gray.

Juanita took much pride in whatever she was doing. She loved to work - whether cutting tobacco and housing it, to her flower gardens, and vegetable gardening and canning. She was a dairy farmer for four years and retired from Anchor Hocking after 30 plus years of service. She had also worked for Indiana Glass in Dunkirk. She loved talking and spending time with her family.

Juanita is survived by seven of her children, Dennis Ray Sapp, Melissa Ann Sapp Shannon, Anthony “Tony” Wayne Sapp, Phillip Lee Sapp, Lloyd Talbot, Elizabeth Clark, and Cindy Donell. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren; her 20 great grandchildren; and two of her siblings, Naomi Christine Groves and Bessie Justine Hummel.

In addition to her husband Albert; her mother Jessie and her father Willie, Juanita was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Allen Sapp; and five of her siblings, Helena Pearl Reed, Mary Rosaleen Gallagher, Oleda Francis Saunders, Wendal Walton Gray, and Marvin Wayne Gray.

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Pollitt officiating.

Juanita will be laid to rest in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Pallbearers include her 10 grandchildren, Samantha Logston, Hank Sapp, Dustin Sapp, Shaun Shannon, Josh Shannon, Brian Sapp, Jeremy Sapp, William Sapp, Keith Donell, and Jennifer Donell. Honorary pallbearers include Kooper Perkins, Ryder Sapp, Kennedy Cannon, Emily Cleaver, Raelynn Sapp, and Clayton Sapp.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Friday, July 10, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.
