Julia Faye Smalley Gulley, 83, passed away Saturday morning May 28, 2011 at Fleming County Hospital. She was born Oct 2, 1927 in Fleming County to the late Archie and Oni Bell Smalley. Mrs. Gulley worked at Fleming County Hospital for 35 years before her retirement. She worked with many patients and families through those years and always gave them a smile.
Survivors include:
Children: Ernie (Joyce) Gulley of Muses Mills, Margie (Ronnie) Littleton of Flemingsburg, Cathy (Billy) Hilterbrand of Muses Mills, Charlotte Sloan of Jackson, OH, and Roger (Dana) Gulley of Flemingsburg
Sisters: Gladys Skaggs Osborne of Dayton OH, Elizabeth Borders of Flemingsburg, and Agnes Wagner of Flemingsburg.
Brothers: Lonnie Smalley of Maysville, Walter Smalley of Flemingsburg, Bill Smalley of Sacramento CA, Sam Smalley of Poplar Plains, and Jack Smalley of Wallingford
Grandchildren: Pam McFarland, Julie Moore, Dwayne Newsom, David Gulley, Curtis Gulley, Dessie

Oni Bell Gulley Smalley, brothers Bob, Estill, & Lester Smalley, sisters Edith Kerns, Irene Smalley and Lucille Smalley, a great grandson Isaac Knipp.
Funeral services will be at 1 PM Tuesday May 31, 2011 at the Muses Mills Christian Church with Rev. George Sloan officiating. Internment will follow in Muses Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 9 PM Monday at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home and 11 AM till 1 PM Tuesday at the church. Boone - Nickell Funeral Home is caring for all arrangements for Mrs. Gulley. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to Hospice of Hope or the Isaac Knipp Scholarship Fund at the Peoples Bank.
