Julia Louise Graham Lofton, 61, of Flemingsburg, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe.
Born on November 4, 1954, in Fleming County, she was a daughter of the late Husten Pierce "H.P." and Emmabelle Jackson Graham.
Affectionately known as "Ju Ju", Julia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed reading, sewing and watching her soaps. Most of all, she loved playing with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Strawberry United Methodist Church.
Julia leaves behind her husband, Arthur Lofton; sons, Gabriel (Lisa) Lofton and Marcus Lofton; daughters, Krista (Troy) Steward, Susan Elizabeth "Betsy" (Mondre) Saunders, and Emily Ann "Emmy" Lofton; grandchildren, Trae Lofton, Troy Steward II, Jaliah Lofton, Tori Steward, Craig Lofton, Ameya Saunders, Gia Lofton, and Gabriel Lofton.
She also leaves behind four sisters, Carolyn (Robert) Hayden, Hazel Graham, Kathye (Ernesto) Lopez, and Janet Stallard; four brothers, William Nelson, Larry Graham, Thomas (Terea) Graham, and Husten (Nancy) Graham; a special cousin, Eilene Jackson; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her son, Craig Lofton; and two sisters, Betty Ann Lofton and Susan Graham.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 24, at Flemingsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Taylor, Rev. Aaron Crumbie and Rev. James W. Custard officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church located at 1856 Elizaville Road, Flemingsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope (909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056) and/or Strawberry United Methodist Church (206 E. Water Street, Flemingsburg, KY 41041).
