Kenneth Ray Jones, 91, gained his wings on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in his home surrounded by his family and the love they have for him.
He was born March 27, 1934, in Hillsboro, to the late Levi “Red” Jones, the late Bella Kline Jones, and the late Emma Jolly Jones.

When he was younger he worked on the farm and in the evening he worked at the Princess Theater from the time the theater opened until the day it closed. He started selling popcorn, got promoted to running the projectors, then promoted to the manager. While working at the theater he also worked at Davenport Feed Mill, the overall factory, Dunbar drug store, then he started work at Fleming Mason RECC in the engineering department where he retired after 33 years of service. He was also a partner in the Flemingsburg Drive-In from 1970-1979 and he also had his own business as an electrician from 1970 to 2016. When he wasn't working he loved spending time with his family, whether it was from coaching a baseball team or just hanging out playing cards, chess, basketball, or pool with us.
Kenneth enjoyed watching the Reds and Wildcats basketball games. He loved listening to music and had an extensive coins and uncirculated money collection.
Kenneth enjoyed sharing his life with his wonderful wife Dorothy Perkins Jones of 70 years and 15 days before she passed away in August of 2022.
Kenneth leaves behind his daughter, Tricia Jones (Mark) Mullins of Pikeville; his son, Jeremy (Valeria) Jones of Flemingsburg, his daughter- in- law, Mae Jones of Flemingsburg; his six grandchildren, Shauna Jones, Tonya Ballard Gulley, Buzz (Ashley) Ballard, Joey Jones, Tori Jones, Alexander Mullins.
