Laura Mae Perry Duncan Presley, 90, of Wallingford, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at her home.
Born in Lewis County on June 2, 1935, her father was the late William Francis Perry and her mother was the late Lillian Aretta Colgrove Perry.
Family was number one to Laura and she loved family gatherings and family reunions. She enjoyed peddler malls, yard sales, and road trips. She collected Temptation dishes and she would buy and collect iron skillets and was known to give them to family and friends. She loved to play cards - some games lasting all night long. She loved watching the wildlife in her backyard. She was a member of the Evans Chapel in Vanceburg and would haul children to church and Bible School. She was a lifelong quilter.
She is survived by 11 of her children, Sharon (Don) Haught, David (Sherry) Duncan, John (Vickie) Duncan, Debra Duncan, Autumn (David) Ritchey, Lisa (Tim) Rose, Thomas (Sherri) Duncan, Mary Duncan, Laura Drew, Rachel Duncan, and Martha Grace Duncan; numerous grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; her brother, Ronald (Joyce) Perry; along with many extended family members and friends.
Laura was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Robert Duncan Jr.; her second husband, James Presley; her son, Robert Eugene Duncan; her two grandsons, Joe Robert Duncan III and Andrew Vallotton; her great grandson, Carson Pollitt; her mother Lillian and father William; brother William E. Perry; her two infant siblings, Helen Marie Perry and Donald Lee Perry.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Hall officiating.
Laura will be laid to rest in Mount Pleasant United Baptist Church Cemetery on Pea Ridge.
Laura’s grandsons will serve as her pallbearers.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
