Leona Jean Whisman, 76, passed away Sunday afternoon October 17, 2010 at Fleming County Hospital after a long illness. She was born January 13, 1934 in Lewis County to the late Zolar and Tressie Thurman. She was a retired caretaker for the elderly.

6 Grandchildren: Monica Lewis Marshall, John W. Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Jana Whisman, Katie (Chet) Logan, Amanda Whisman

3 Great Grandchildren: Taylor & Hunter Marshall and Myra Logan

1 Brother: William Hardy

5 Sisters: Anna Mae Long, Ruby McKee, Dorothy Caudill, Elsie (Cleve) King, Beatrice (Eddie) Vice

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Wednesday October 20, 2010 at Boone - Nickell Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 - 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Internment will follow in Fleming County Cemetery.
