Ruby Elizabeth “Libby” Hester, 68, of Muses Mills, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, at her residence. She was surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Mason County on July 27, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Irvin Hester and the late Ivetta Ratliff Hester.
Libby was a farmer and had worked for U. S. Shoe Factory. She was an owner and operator of LAC Auto Sales. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, sister, and friend. Above all, her family was an important part of her life. The love, memories, stories, and lessons she leaves behind will continue through the generations of her family.
She is survived by her two children, Adam Logan and wife Shandra of Mt. Olivet, and Cristy Conway and husband Spencer of Maysville; her three cherished grandchildren, Alaina (Nathaniel) Jolly, Devin Logan, and Landon Logan; and her great granddaughter, Wrenlee Jolly. She is also survived by two of her siblings, Garnetta (Larry) Applegate and Margaret Jewell (Bob) Harper; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her mother Ivetta and her father Glenn, Libby was preceded in death by her brother, David Franklin “Frankie” Hester.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home, with Johnny Gulley officiating.
Libby will be laid to rest in Muses Mill Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Devin Logan, Landon Logan, Cliffton Pollitt, Brian Hester, David Applegate, and Kenny Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers include Jimmy Browning, Billy Ingram, Tony Tulley, Dewey Gulley, and Ronnie Thomas.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Thursday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg.
