Lisa Carol Story McRoberts, 61, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.
Born in Flemingsburg on January 6, 1965, Lisa was the daughter of Carolyn Patrick Story and the late Lee Newell Story.
Lisa had worked in hospital administration for Fleming County Hospital as well as Meadowview. She enjoyed working and talking with people, a gift she acquired at an early age in elementary school - her teacher even writing on her report card she was quite a talker. She had a keen interest in the Civil War and its history. She came from a family of cooks and kept that going in her immediate household. If she were asked about her favorite trip, she would have easily chosen China, as this is where she found the greatest gift of motherhood in her daughter, Leea.
Lisa is survived by her husband of 38 years, Randy McRoberts; her daughter, Leea Renee McRoberts; and her mother Carolyn; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her father Lee, Lisa was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Nana Bernice Story and Robert Story; and her maternal grandparents, John H. Patrick and Chesley Lacey Patrick.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, July 24, 2026, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Fritz officiating.
Lisa will be laid to rest in Fleming County Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, July 23, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street in Flemingsburg, Kentucky.
In place of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Lisa to the Cancer Care Club (P O Box 189, Flemingsburg KY 41041).
