Obituary

Lois Lee Hinton, 88, of Flemingsburg, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Fleming County Hospital.


Born March 27, 1929, in Poplar Plains, she was a daughter of the late Caleb and Jessie Purvis Wyatt.


Lois was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was a longtime member of the Flemingsburg First United Methodist Church.


Lois is survived by her son, Steele Hinton and wife Ava; her daughter, Susan Vice and husband Steve; her grandchildren, Catherine (Jason) Underwood, Elizabeth (Scott) Becker, Kristen Kinder, Ian Kinder and Mylie Vice; her great grandchildren, Elliott and Calvin Underwood and Maggie Becker; her son-in-law, Tony Kinder; her sisters, Earline Spencer and Paige (Bill) Fawns; and several nieces, nephews and friends.


She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Hinton, Jr.; her daughters, Mary Beth Kinder and Janet Hinton; and her sisters, Jo Ann Colliver and Elmira Mertes.


Services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, September 30th, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Lambert officiating. Burial will be private.


Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the charity of one's choice.
