Luke Hawkins, 34, of Flemingsburg, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning October 8, 2017, at his home.

Born October 4, 1983, in Maysville, KY he is the son of Thomas "Thomy" and Sylvia McIntyre Hawkins.

Luke was a state auditor with the Kentucky Department of Revenue for the last 8 years. While in college and high school he worked at Lowes, Dunham's and McDonalds. He was a longtime member of New Life Church of Christ and Master of Ewing Masonic Lodge #581 and a member of the Oleika Shrine Temple in Lexington, KY.

Luke was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sarah Alice Jones, Kenneth McIntyre and William Hawkins; great grandparents, Hobart Fawns; uncles, Sam Fawns and Lawton Cooper.

Luke is survived by his parents Thomy and Sylvia; sister, Roxanne and husband Louie Wright of Louisville; nephew, Keller Wright; grandmother, Sue McIntyre; aunts and uncles, Linda Cooper, Kennetha (Randy) Vance, David (Pam) Hawkins, Mike (Julie Serbu) Hawkins, Jeffrey Hawkins and Hope Hawkins McKee; several cousins and a host of friends.

A celebration of Luke's life will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at New Life Church of Christ with Bro. Darren Fizer and Bro. Bill Teagarden officiating. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 – 8 p.m., at the church with Masonic Rites performed at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made Oleika Shrine Temple (326 Southland Drive Lexington, KY 40503).
