Mabel Gladys Hamilton, 92, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, at her residence.  She was the widow of Duard "Sandy" Hamilton.

Born in Fleming County on February 23, 1930, she was a daughter of the late James and Rose Gulley Gardner.

Mabel worked for Lakewood Grocery in the meat department and had worked for Colgan Restaurant.  She was also a caregiver and babysitter.

Mabel is survived by her son, David (Ruth) Hamilton of West Union, Ohio; her daughter, Linda (Larry) Florence of Ewing; five grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.  Mabel is also survived by her sister, Stella Sapp of Flemingsburg; and her brother, Ervin Gardner of Beechburg.

In addition to her husband Sandy and her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2022, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. James Ray Hickerson officiating.

Mabel will be laid to rest in Elizaville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Friday, at Boone-Nickell.
