Mabel Helen Hickerson Haywood, 76, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at her residence.  She was the widow of Elmer Haywood.

Born on February 28, 1943, in Fleming County, she was the daughter of the late William Leslie and Carol Boling Hickerson.

She is survived by her son, Rodney Haywood and Sharon of May's Lick; daughter Lisa Beckett and husband Jimmy Carl of Mt. Olivet; brothers Bro. Steve Hickerson and wife Linda, Leslie Hickerson, Jr.; her sisters, Alberta Holland, Marcella Haywood and husband Donnie; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday, August  16, 2019, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Hickerson officiating.

Mabel will be laid to rest next to her husband in Wedonia Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service Friday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Boone-Nickell to offset funeral expenses.
