Maggie Lorene Clark, 86, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024, at her residence. She was the widow of James Elmer Clark, Sr.
Born in Vanceburg on July 24, 1937, her father was the late Arthur Leslie Hall and her mother was the late Nina Renchen Hall.
Maggie worked at a shoe factory in Portsmouth, was a volunteer at the Fleming Senior Center and was a member of the Flemingsburg First Church of God.
She is survived by two of her children, Timothy "Tim" Clark and wife Tinie, Sandie Buckhart and husband Clayton; her four grandchildren, Marla (Joey Shannon) Clark, Josh (Holly Harney) Trussell, Ashleigh (Jerry Murphy) Clark, and Derek Clark and wife Rose; seven of her great grandchildren, Kaia Murphy, Jayden Clark, Raven Shannon, Tristan Shannon, Sasha Shannon, Zachary Trussell, and Alyssa Trussell. She is also survived by three of her siblings, Gerald Hall, Sharron Cassidy, and Lily Smith; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by two of her children, James E. Clark, Jr. and Brenda Lou Clark; two of her great grandchildren, Aubrianna Murphy and Jayla Clark; and five of her siblings, Mary Pierce, Faron Hall, Carolyn Polley, Virginia Bush, and Helen Hall.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, February 23,2024, at Bonne-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. James Ray Hickerson officiating.
Maggie will be laid to rest in Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Fairview.
Pallbearers include Joey Shannon, Raven Shannon, Derek Clark, Jayden Clark, Zachary Trussell, and Josh Trussell. Honorary pallbearers include Jerry Murphy and Chris Highfield.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Friday, at Boone-Nickell.
