Mamie Christine Hamm, 79, of Wallingford, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at UK Saint Claire Healthcare in Morehead.

Born in Rowan County on August 31, 1944, her mother was the late Zola Roberts Drake and her father was the late William "Bill" Drake.

Mamie was a "Grammy" at Hillsboro Elementary for a couple of years.  Her joy in life was taking care of her family's children and babysitting for them.

She is survived by her two daughters, Robin Ehrenberger and husband Franklin, and Direnda Crawford; her nine grandchildren, Frank & Crystal Ehrenberger, Michael & Alyssa Ehrenberger, Matthew & Becca Ehrenberger, Joshua & Shana Kielman, MaKayla & Charlie Ingram, Jason Crawford, Anna Crawford, Jacob Hamm, and Leslie (Dylan Kestner) Hamm; along with several great grandchildren.  She is also survived by two of her siblings, Dorothy Goodpaster and Robert & Penny Drake; along with many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her father William and her mother Zola, Mamie was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Hamm; along with several siblings.

The funeral service will begin at 12 noon, Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Caleb Perkins officiating.

Mamie will be laid to rest in Drake Cemetery.

Pallbearers include her grandsons, Frank, Matthew, Michael, Joshua, Jacob, and Dylan. Honorary pallbearers include her granddaughters, MaKayla and Leslie.

Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 12 noon, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
