Marie Richey, 76, of Muses Mills, widow of William Richey went to be with her savior on Saturday September 29, 2012.

Marie was born in Fleming County, on February 9, 1936, to the late Herman and Leona Deal Hunt.

She was a member of the Fox Valley Community Church as well as Muses Mill Christian Holiness Church.

Marie was a homemaker and mother all of her life, but she was first and foremost a Christian. She was assistant youth leader at Fox Valley Church and sang in churches all over. She taught her children and everyone else who would listen how to make it to heaven. She was a member of the Fox Valley Helping Hands, where she always gave the devotion in each meeting. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, reading, fishing, doing word puzzles, and talking on the phone to her best friend Kathy.

She is survived by

2 Sons: Bill (Shelia) Richey and Tony Richey

3 Daughters, Sharon (Azzie) Hall, Barbara Jo (Lonnie) Eden, and Lisa (Daniel) Tackett

5 Grandsons: Billy Jo Richey, Brian Hall, Anthony Dewayne Thompson, Travis Thompson, and Lonnie Eden Jr.

5 Granddaughters: Cinthy Thompson, Shawna (Brandon) Fizer, Tammy Lynn Embleton, Brandy Eden, and Holly Tackett

6 Great Grandsons: Will, Dakota and Jordan Richey, Andrew Hardy, Luke Embleton, and Jace Fizer

Siblings: Floyd "Ike" (Bert) Hunt, Frank Hunt, Kenny (Janie) Hunt, Margie (Donnie) Workman, Christine (Robert) Workman, and Kay (Bruce) Kelley

Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, William Richey, daughter Willa Thompson, brother Herman "June" Hunt, and 4 sisters; Nadine Workman, Ann Hughes, Ruby Deatley and Loretta Hunt.

Funeral service will be at 11 AM Tuesday at Fox Valley Community Church with Bro. Daryl Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 9 PM Monday at the Church and after 8 AM until the hour of service Tuesday. Boone - Nickell Funeral Home is serving the Richey Family.
